"ABC 101: Alcohol Regulations Planners Need to Know - The Road to Compliance"

As a government meeting professional, you may not know about liquor licenses or when they are required, depending on the type of the event you’re holding or the facility you’ve chosen. Do you know the questions to ask your facility to ensure your event is compliant? Did you know that new regulations went into effect for non-profit events January 1, 2016?

Supervising Agent Matthew Seck from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control will present an intensive hour of event scenarios that planners face on a regular basis. Mr. Seck and this presentation came to our attention at the recent MPISSN workshop and the information he shared surprised many seasoned planners!

Join us at this monthly chapter meeting and gain the ability to properly handle donated items for raffles, auctions and bars; the knowledge to know what exactly should be asked of facilities already operating under an ABC liquor license and knowing when one needs to look into their own ABC license; and why the ABC requires licenses for various scenarios and the steps you take to make sure you are compliant in an ABC situation.

Registration begins at: 4:15 p.m. with the meeting scheduled from 4:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

Registration Policy and Fees are in place:

    Pre- registration* fees are $25 for member suppliers and $35 for non-member suppliers.
    On-site registration fees will be $35 for member suppliers and $45 for non-member suppliers.

    Pre-registration* for planner members remains complimentary.
    On-site registration fees for planner members is $10
